This piece is crafted in collaboration with fair-wage artisan partners in China, each garment reflects a deep respect for craft, community, and tradition. With fewer than 100 pieces made, every design remains as special as the hands that created it.
A note on producing in China: Chinese artisans are the best in the world at fine gauge knitting. Executing DEGEN's intricate intarsia patterns and hand linking finishes with tiny stitches is extremely challenging and their partners' quality is unmatched. China is also a giant country with a lot of climates which means it is a great country for sourcing a variety of yarn qualities. The merino, cotton, and linen are all local which reduces carbon footprint due to transit.
