Earl of East's Viagem scent is inspired by the city of Lisbon in Portugal. The aim was to reinvent the scent of the whole fig tree, from the crisp verdancy and the bitter stems, the bark and the freshness of the sap, to create a sense of hazy & balmy summer nights.
After visiting Portugal for the first time in 2016, Earl of East founders Paul and Niko instantly fell in love with Lisbon's pace, its streets and people, and the feeling of beautifully stopped time.
The trip provided so much inspiration for the duo, and before they knew it they were mapping out this scent inspired by the city. In fact, it was a photo taken of a fig tree, seemingly growing out of someone's front door, that inspired this scent.
